June report - La Gomera

Capt. Jason Brice - a good friend and boat captain from Guatemala "Twenty" and "Pelagian" sent me a report an hour ago from La Gomera. I have only heard of one fish caught since i have been here. We fished a day and a half and didnt see chit. Water is cold. The tournament last weekend- 38 boats, 4 fish caught. 2 days. The water is warmer in Gran Canary and they are seeing a couple few blues a day and some spears.

Well we hope it gets better - looking forward to reading about his exploits his second season there. Then there's our friend, Elias from Crook & Crook, who makes his annual pilgrimage to the Islands next month. You know last year he scored a 300kg plus fish each day? Pretty amazing when most folks would be happy for one or two, he gets seven in a row!
