yep, the wind is down to normal and it didn't infact the fishing. boats see an average of 5 to 18 blues a day with some boats catching up to 6 blues a day.

i could take a day off yesterday and went out with bonze on HAPPY HOOKER I and i jumped in as mate for one of the crew that couldn't go out fishing. i had really good fun and we ended up with 3 for 5 ! the americans were the most "hot" with 18 bites but just caught 2 out of them..........boat with most fish caught were 5 yesterday.

tight lines,

FIRST GRANDER !

the american boat "dreamin on" faught a grander size blue yesterday, but unfortunately they pulled the hooks on the leader....... boats caught 1 to 4 blues each. wolfgang and "poor rudi", he was badly seasick again and they came in early, fishing with simon had a triple on and caught two of them. they had more blues in the spread but thaught that three would be enough at ones.............

Absolutely amazing fishing Berno. As well as Stefan some other members of our Club are fishing the 40’ Pace – is it Powerplay? From the text I had yesterday evening they appeared to have 8.

What to my mind puts things into perspective, for comparative purposes, is the results of the first day of the IGFA offshore tournament in Cabo san Lucas, Mexico.

Quoted

The teams, many of them fishing the Sea of Cortez faced 96 degree temps, light winds and calm seas. A total of 64 marlin and one sailfish were caught and released.

But that was from 63 boats. You don’t need to be Einstein to do the Maths!

Dear All,
Pooroody! Stefan!

whats going on? CV is theeeeee world class fishing event and totally annihilates the gigantomanic effort at the Offshore Worlds in Cabo/Mexico over in the Pacific Ocean.

No wonder theres no bite in Cabo and Angola if all the rest of the Marlin congregate in Kabuferdiiiii!!!

Darnluckybastardsenjoy!! This is an order!

fishing is still HOT with boats catching up to 5 blues the last days. simon tried jigging yesterday for some time and caught 6 amberjacks and horse eye jacks up to 25 lbs. he said it was good fun, hoping to find the spots where these 60 kg+ amberjacks are.........the pros won't tell us their secret spots, so we have to be lucky to find them by ourselfs.

rudi and stefan are back in germany by now, so there might be a lot to read from both in the next days here in the board.......

tight lines,

hi allerseits
fangen die Boote hier nicht mehr soviele Blues , aber das Gewicht ist nun bedeutend höher. Im Durchscnitt 600 lbs bis zu 800 und besser
hört sich doch gut an ?

Short translation from the admin (Wolfgang, I hope it is ok):
Hi all,
the boats don´t catch so many blues anymore but the weights are much higher. The average is between 600lb to 800lb and higher. Sounds good, doesn´t it?

Hello Wolfman and Berno

I am back to Italy with some bad news and maybe you could help me
Last night I was in Mindelo (27 of may)I have been attacked from a guy with a knife who stole my camera
no badinjuries for me just scratches in my hand and forehead but the video camera and the tape inside gone
I had my flight to italy the following morning so I could not do nothing more.

Guys I am pretty sure the thief wants to sell again this video camera so if you know someone from the very ' bad people' of Mindelo spread the voice
I am ready to buy again my video camera especially the tape inside (lot of fishing action)
I dont know in Mindelo but in Italy you can solve these sort of troubles in this way sometimes.
Thanks anyway

Bad News, David.

The important thing is that you are ok.

The missing tape is the worst thing. You can buy a new camera, but the fishing action just happend once.

How many Marlin have you caught?

Ciao

Hello Rudy

I ended with 31 marlin released from 59 strikes in 12 fishing days .Quite happy.
Ferdy is not Peter Dobler at the moment but he is learning day by day.
I am confident he will be better and better year after year.
We marked 100 marlin releases on Bebiche in three years.
Next goal 200.......................

Hi Berno
Thanks for the support

Videocamera is a Panasonic 3ccd mx-500 (not sure about the model) with a custom wide angle lens on it
I am pretty sure the burglar wants to sell it for easy money....
I would buy it again...especially the tape inside eheheheh

Ciao
